The aircraft carrier Intrepid visited Hong Kong during each of its three deployments to the Gulf of Tonkin during the Vietnam War. Aberdeen Harbor was a popular attraction for the crew. Sailors took tours on sampans, small boats like the one in this photograph, and dined at massive floating restaurants.
