The saint has elongated penny, short black hair with short bangs covering of the forehead, which is wide; set eyes, thin eyebrows straight, and the on the left is a little more fallen than the on the right, almond-shaped dark eyes facing forward, long nose, thin and closed lips, beard and mustache. wear robe with hood back in pitch dark ground with rope with two loops at the waist with tips falling on the right and sandals with strap between the toes, and the on the right is dark blue and the black on the left. He folded on the right arm with his hand palm upward with out min and ring finger bent and the other three straight upwards. Bent on the left arm with hand just above the waist with open palm looking up little white bird red head, in profile to the left and head forward, resting on your thumb. The bird has wings open up as if ready to fly or running out of earthy.

The model for this work was Paulino Portinari, brother of the artist.
