This panel painting is among those that make up the monumental Holy Cross altarpiece in the town of Blesa, Teruel. The painters Miguel Jiménez and Martín Bernat were commissioned to create the piece in 1481. This panel depicts the part of the Golden Legend which states that when Saint Helena located the Holy Cross, she took it to a Jerusalem city gate with the Emperor Heraclius.
