Saint Lazarus

In this painting, signed by Rosselli with his initials on the bottom left, the figure of the saint is pivotal. He proudly displays his body wounded by leprosy, while with his right hand he shakes the wooden device, usually a castanet, bell or rattle, that the sick people have to carry to warn of their approach.
