Jesuit Church In front of you is the Jesuit Church in Lviv, also known as Saints Peter and Paul Garrison Church. During the wave of the Counter-Reformation, the Jesuits established themselves in Lviv and brought many new things into the city's life, including this church and the nearby college. Adjacent to the church, Jesuit College is considered to be the place where Bohdan Khmelnytsky received his primary education. Later Khmelnytsky will become the head of the independent Ukrainian state –Hetmanate.
