This Art is inspired by Sakara and Apala music which served as a voice for the Yoruba culture in the 1950s. Sakara and Apala music is characterized by the use of traditional percussion instruments like talking drums, sekere and omele which was carefully illustrated in the piece including the musician and the dancers. I decided to draw the pioneer of Apala music "Haruna Ishola" and Sakara music "Lefty Salami" in the sky to make them look like ancestors looking down on their successors and the legacy they have passed on. I picked color green for the attire of the music band because they produce Sakara and Apala music which is evergreen.
