This wine cup is considered to be one piece from a set of the famous landscapes painted on a series of cups, given by a superior.
On the vermillion lacquered surface, we see depicted the scene of a ferryboat crossing the Sumida River using flat and raised maki-e (sprinkled metal decoration).
Above the ferry boat, Masaki Inari Shrine and Mt. Tsukuba are visible, to the right is Suda-zutumi bank.
