Swings have been staples of outdoor play for centuries. A homemade swing could require nothing more than a board, two pieces of rope, and a tree sufficiently large to support it (and a swinging child). In the 20th century, commercially-produced swing sets emerged for playgrounds and the backyards of new housing subdivisions. This salesman's sample swing set served as a convenient three-dimensional model for the Goshen Manufacturing Co., which also produced sand boxes, slides, and other equipment. This deluxe swing set offers two swings, a ladder, and a seesaw for hours of outdoor fun.
