The salon at Coutance, the country home belonging to French diplomat Claude Serreulles and his wife, Marie-Helene. It is located in the Oise region of France, near the village of Neuilly-sous-Clermont. The space is furnished in all the same fabric of blue flowers on white linen: chairs, armchairs, curtains. An exception is the brightly patterned rug. The blue-and -white theme is echoed by the stalks of blue delphiniums standing in a Chinese porcelain vase which is also serving as a doorstop. The flowers are fresh-cut bouquets arranged by Marie-Helene herself. The French doors lead outside to the formal gardens.
