The salon at Coutance, the country home belonging to French diplomat Claude Serreulles and his wife, Marie-Helene. It is located in the Oise region of France, near the village of Neuilly-sous-Clermont. The space is furnished in all the same fabric of blue flowers on white linen: chairs, armchairs, poufs, firescreen, folding screen, tablecloth, curtains. The only exception is a bright red paisley shawl folded over one of the armchairs and the brightly patterned rug. The various flowers are fresh-cut bouquets arranged by Marie-Helene herself.
