This skull belongs to one of the largest crocodiles known, the marine or porous crocodile (Crocodylus porosus). The specimen was collected on the island of Mindoro (Philippines) in 1887. This skull is very important from a scientific point of view, since it is the largest skull of this species (85 cm long, 42 cm wide and 30 cm high) among European museums.
