Every window in this church was designed by Fred Weekes (1833-1893) from sketches by Horatio Walter Lonsdale (1844-1919. This pane is from the South-East window in the chancel and shows Samson carrying the Gates of Gath. This is from Samson's life story, where after travelling to Gaza, Samson's enemies waited at the gate of the city to ambush him, but he took the gate from its hinges and carried it to Hebron, a city in Palestine.
