San Francisco panorama consisting of 13 photographs (1878).
Each photograph was printed onto albumen paper from a mammoth (24x20 inch) wet collodion glass plate negative. 13 photographs side by side produces an over 17 foot-long, 360 degree panoramic view of the city in great detail. Each photograph was taken with a 15-20 minute exposure following the sequence of the view. However, plate number 7 was re-taken later, which is apparent from the longer shadows in the scene.
