Granite funerary stele found in the early 20th century near the Roman camp of Cidadela close to the town of Sobrado dos Monxes in A Coruña.
The stele was moved to Compostela for the 1909 Galician Regional Exhibition that was held in Santiago. The works remained in the cathedral after the event and, in time, became part of the museum collection.
The size of the piece's epigraphic area in comparison with the inscription is striking, as is the fact that the lower part contains several blank lines. There is also an interesting figurative scene in the upper part of the stele. It features a human figure in the foreground surrounded by a horse, a star, and bunch of grapes. This could allude to the profession of the individual identified in the inscription.
