During the reigns of First King Mongkut and Second King Pinklao, First King Mongkut redesigned the Front Palace in Bangkok in order to celebrate the newly elevated status of its inhabitant: Second King Pinklao. One of the structures built to celebrate Second King Pinklao’s new status was Sanamchan Pavilion. The Pavilion no longer exists in modern-day Bangkok.
