Since a sandook is used for storing valuables, there are often hidden compartments made, as seen in this example. A small portion of the top right panel slid outwards revealing another secret compartment within that, which was opened by sliding a panel upwards. The combined length of both these secret compartments continued along the entire breadth of the sandook on one side.
