Sangiran 31 (S31)

Fragments of S31’s back skull and part of its upper skull were found in 1980 in Pucangan Formation dated around 1.5 million years ago. It has 800-900 cc cranial capacity and belongs to the Archaic Homo erectus that lived in Sangiran 1.5 million to 900.000 years ago.
