View of the Sant Beltran quay at the port of Barcelona, showing the steamship Puerto Rico (since 1914 Joaquim Mumbrú) with Barcelona registration. In the background to the right, Montjuïc. In the foreground, barges, on the left a man stands rowing a barge, while on the right there is another man in a barge holding a boat hook. Above the vessel we can see the cable car installation with a tractor cable secured to one of the sides of the vessel with a pontoon. Hanging from the cabling are metal buckets for carrying coal. These were secured to the small tower situated on the quay and drove the cable units. The small tower was popularly known as “bicicletes" (bicycles).
