Santanu and Ganga

King Shantanu is besotted with Ganga and wants to mary her. She accepts it on the condition that he should never question her actions, and that if he does so, she would leave him immediately. The popularity of lithographs were such that many were printed in Europe, especially in Germany, Italy and England.
