Sara Baras began her career more than twenty years ago on stages all over the world. She began in her native Cádiz under the tutelage of her mother, Concha Baras. She has also studied with great dance masters such as Ciro, Manolete, El Güito and Dania González.
Her awards include the Max Prize for the Performing Arts, twice in the category of best dancer, best dance show and best choreography; the National Dance Prize of Spain, in the category of interpretation; The Prize of the Circle of Critics of Chile, the Gold Medal of Andalusia, the Médaille de Vermeil of the City of Paris, the Giraldillo for Best Direction of the Seville Flamenco Biennial, the Gold Medal of Fine Arts of the Kennedy Center or the Castillete de Oro of the International Festival of Cante de las Minas.
