This piece depicts the goddess of knowledge and the arts. She is the deification of the Sarasvati River that flowed to the east of the Indus River, and she carries a rosary, a book, and a veena (lute). It is said that when Akino saw the enshrined figure at a temple at the base of the mountains of Nepal, she appeared as a simple farmer.
