Saraswati, goddess of knowledge and wisdom, usually appears alone and has her own iconography, symbols that identify her, such as the veena zither. This goddess is worshiped autonomously, as her consort, Brahma, is the Hindu Trimurti deity with less popular devotion. There are many students and teachers who worship her.
