French, she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris and in the Julian Academy. Due to a marriage with a Brazilian, she moved to Brazil in 1892, where she quickly adapted to the local artistic scene already participating in individual and collective shows. Taking preference for portraits, she was hired by the government of the State of São Paulo to register various historical personalities, which made her be recognized and successful in the art market. Perhaps because of her migration to Brazil, nostalgia is a recurring theme in her work, noticeable in paintings such as "Saudades de Nápoles." She died in São Paulo in 1937.
