Richly decorated pottery urns with embossing and carvings are typical for the cemeteries of the Migration Period in the Elbe-Weser triangle. Such bossed urns, called "Buckelurnen", appeared as burial gifts in England as well. This is important archaeological evidence for the migration movement of the early Saxons, who emigrated 1600 years ago to England.
