The J. Paul Getty Museum
Los Angeles, United States

A Persian king spears a Greek warrior, who falls with his right leg bent and his left leg extended behind the king. In contrast to the warrior, shown nude while wearing only a crested Corinthian helmet and holding a spear and round shield, the king wears the kidaris, a kind of crown, a tunic, and leggings along with a quiver hung on his back. Both figures stand on a straight groundline.
