Scarf of Jacquard woven figured silk with a white ground, a pronounced rib and a pattern of roses and other flowers at each end in various colours. There are narrow zig zag floral stripes on the centre portion with a self-coloured pattern of leaves and flowers between. The colouring is delicate, mainly in pale green and in shades of pink with touches of yellow in the zig zag stripes. At each end there is a warp fringe with four rows of knots.

The zig zag stripes are brocaded, and the self-coloured pattern between the stripes is made by the warp. The flower in the decoration of the end borders are brocaded but the leaves are formed by a green pattern weft.
