Scarf

This is a type of headscarf from Sumatra featuring a plain weave pattern decorated using the resist-dyeing method. After being stitched together with a needle and thread, the material was further dyed using the resist-dyeing method several times to create the finished effect. The red and black finish appears simple, but actually requires a high degree of craftsmanship to achieve.
