This post card, published circa 1918, depicts the monument to Grant Park's namesake, Lemuel Pratt Grant. Born in Maine, Grant invested in the railroad and in 1883 donated 100 acres to the City of Atlanta for a park that would be open and available to city residents of any race, creed or color.
