This white enameled stag, originally worn as a pendant, is set with table-, point-, and one rose-cut diamonds. Between the settings there are remnants of red and blue enamel ornaments. The stag embodied pride, speed, strength, and shyness. Its antlers were sought after as trophies. Both the Electress Sophie and her daughter Sophie had several stag-shaped jewels around 1600.
