Pair of brown leather men's sandals in size 8. Traditional style of Abyan, southern Yemen. With suede leather uppers, rubber soles and metal buckles. The front of the sandal comprises two flaps with circular pierced decoration. Two adjustable buckles, one on the top and the other at the back, tighten the sandal when worn.
The flaps on these sandals are said to frighten away snakes and scorpions when the man walks.
