Screen on the 'disappearing wall' of the Henry Jarvis Memorial Hall, Royal Institute of British Architects, 66 Portland Place, London. The mural painting by Bainbridge Copnall, acting as an acoustic absobent, is on a wall which can be lowered into the sub-basement which opens the Hall into its Foyer, thus providing additional seating space. The theme of the mural is the Empire-wide scope of the RIBA, showing in the centre, the RIBA Council with peoples and buildings of the British Empire surrounding.
