Born in Vicenza, May 8, 1937, he devoted his entire life, successfully, to painting and ceramics, but since 1958 he has also been interested in engraving: burin, drypoint, etching, lithography, in the Ottorino workshop. Busato. In the years 1963-1964 he attended the International Academy of Salzburg under the guidance of O. Kokoschka, for the lithography S. Soucechk and W. Otte, for the etching by K. Moldovan. At the end of the courses he is awarded the 2nd and 1st Inter awards. for lithography. In 1965, the Vicenza School of Arts and Crafts instructed him to establish and teach graphic art at the Vicenza and Thiene (Vi) headquarters. Already in the 60s and 70s he exhibited his engravings and lithographs in qualified exhibitions in Italy and abroad. His works appear in the Graphic Art Biennials alongside Carrà, Magnelli, Severini, De Chirico, Savinio, Chagall etc. Peretti was part of the I.D.I.T. (engravers of Italy) with C. Carrà, M. Chagall and D. Purificato. He has created new intaglio techniques by making his monotypes with disposable matrices. During his artistic training, in Veneto, Austria, Tuscany and southern France, some meetings with masters and critics were fundamental. A member of the Maeght Foundation in Saint Paul de Vence, he meets Mirò, Chagall, Max Bill etc., and becomes a friend of Andre Verdet, a poet and art critic of great stature; he publishes many editions of graphic art, including one, with the Verona Hat Club for the Castelvecchio Museum (VR), directed by L. Magagnato. He creates the edition of engravings and poems "Scratched Blackboards" and two folders of "Sensitive Spaces" serigraphs, published by Severgnini of Milan, presented by R. Sanesi. In the 1980s he joined the Inter group. formed by concrete and constructivist art operators from Milan presented by N. Di Salvatore. He collaborates and exhibits at the “Arte Struktura” in Milan. From 1991 to 1998 he joined the research group "Architectures of the Imaginary" presented by B. Munari. The group organizes many exhibitions up to the point of exhibiting its works at the 46th Venice International Biennale of Art at Villa Pisani in Strà (Ve), invited by "Le Tre Venezie" of Treviso curated by L. Bortolatto, in the section " Memorie e Attese ”presented by R. Gibbs. He produces essays on the theories “The form of the concrete and Gestalt concept”. His meeting with A. Marcolli and N. Di Salvatore was fundamental, with whom he forms a fraternal and fruitful friendship and collaboration. He actively contributes to the anthological exhibition of N. Di Salvatore in the Palladian Basilica in Vicenza in 1992. Peretti also exhibits in the Palladian Basilica with well-known artists from Vicenza. With A. Marcolli he matured the organization of the Deconstructivist movement. In 1996 the first exhibition in Gubbio, Palazzo dei Consoli, entitled "In Umbria a first exhibition on Deconstructivism in Italy and in the world". Present were G. Balice, W. Ballmer, G. Bulli, G. Fain, A. Garau, A. Marcolli, M.o Massironi, L. Mosso, G. Peretti, V. Simonetti and others. In 1997 he signed the manifesto on deconstructivism (theorist A. Marcolli) and exhibited his works in Venice, "San Pantalon" Art Gallery, present Balice, Ballmer, Bulli, Fain, Marcolli, Massironi, Mosso, Peretti, Simonetti . He attracts the attention of H. Formann. In 1997 he taught in Cagliari, Villa Satta, for the European Institute of Design, collaborating with many other artists, architects, designs and photographers on Marcolli's "Environmental Design" project. He writes his poetic declaration on concrete and deconstructivist art, highlighting his studies on straight and curved lines. By continuing to search for him, he is comforted to have found his own mathematical model. Since October 2000 he has been teaching "Means and methods of representation" at N. Di Salvatore's Polytechnic School of Design in Milan. In 2012 he exhibited a solo exhibition on Deconstructivism in Creazzo (Vi), exhibition hall, Palazzo del Colle. In 2013 he orders a solo exhibition at the Arianna Sartori Gallery in Mantua. In 2017 the Municipality of Quinto Vicentino (Department of Culture) organized the exhibition “Giorgio Peretti. Works of graphic art from 1960-2017 retrospective research, engraved art - the sign "in the Exhibition Rooms of Villa Thiene, with the patronage of the Veneto Region.
