Screaming Woman

Solomon Nikritin created in the period 1927-1929 a series of paintings entitled "The works and days of the petty bourgeois". This is a series of figurative works by the artist, including "Woman Screaming", "Woman Drinking", "Man and the Crowd", etc., which present a peculiar series of very expressive and grotesque figures. These works present the terrible world of the faceless mass, of people shouting, drinking, etc., while lonely figures or a silent crowd are depicted. The artist uses allegory and metaphor in his visual language to create multidimensional compositions that bear witness to a variety of meanings, as in the case of the work "Woman Screaming".
