"When I received the first diagnosis, at 41, it was two years since I had become a widow. We hoped that would pass. Cancer is not the end of the line, it is not a death sentence. I have my hard times, good days and bad days, but I can do my thing, because there are medications that help to deal with pain and bring quality of life. But the news of metastasis, in 2016, shook the family a lot. I have a support network, but they don't."
