Archaeological research in Sirmium never ceases to surprise us with its discoveries. The marble sculpture of Neptune / Poseidon, dated at the end of the 1st and the first decade of the 2nd century AD, is the last remarkable find. It is assumed that its reference was the bronze statue of Zeus, which was found on Cape Artemision in Greece, made by Hageladas at the begging od 5th century BC. All artefacts from the archaeological excavations of Sirmium are kept in the Museum of Srem.
