Lid of cinerary urn. Reclining male figure in frontal pose; head turned to our right; his legs are bent back; the posture reveals strong pathos, while the face has an air of resignation (Nielsen); asymmetrical face (purposely made) accentuating the sensation of depth; thick curly hair kept in place with a thick cross-plaited wreath tied at the back; upper body nude with a softly and plastically modelled cloak covering the left shoulder and arm as well as the lower body; on his left hand he wears a big ring on the ring finger; he rests the left arm on two soft cushions decorated with round corner tips with cross incisions; in his (missing) outstreched right hand he holds a fluted drinking bowl with a central boss; the back of the figure is also plastically modelled. On the white alabaster with greyish veins are some faint traces of polychromy: black on the eyes, red on lower body and in places on the cloak.
