'Bride' by Frederick Edward McWilliam (1909-1992) and 'Boar' by Elizabeth Frink (1930-1993) on the lawn at the Gibberd Garden near Harlow, dated 1978. Sir Frederick Gibberd sited the former to reflect the form of a gnarled cherry trunk. Regarding the path he noted, 'Paths are laid below the level of the grass. Labour saving - the wheel of the mower runs over the edge of the path. The appearance is natural as the grass invades the path. Trimmed edges are forbidden; ours is neither a public park nor a showpiece.'
