Inspired by barnacled sea shells, sea urchins, and the myriad forms and textures of coral, Peggi Nadeau hand-built "Sea and Sand" with porcelain high-fired clay, coiling and pinching to transform the medium. After she marked, carved, and pierced the surface to create texture, she glazed and high-fired the piece.
