The middle of the seal bears an image of Gothic gates with a tower. In the opening of the gate, there is a lion leaning on his right. Gothic text in all caps: SIGILLUM SCABINORUM LEMBURGENSIUM (Seal of the Judges of Lviv). The matrix of this seal is known to have been used throughout 1412—1764.
This galvanocopy was produced from a copy of the seal attached to a document from 1421.
The item was received by Lviv Historical Museum from the former Lviv City Historical Museum in 1940.
