DPG300 and DPG306 are probably studio replicas of two pictures from a set of four, representing the times of the day, commissioned by M. Journé of Bordeaux in 1759. The date on DPG300 seems to read 175[9?J and not 176 [7?] as once recorded. The date was presumably applied retrospectively, since the original, in the Art Institute, Chicago, is dated 1760.
