Seated Avalokiteshvara with Lotus

Kagaku painted many Buddhist images throughout his life as an artist. Most of them are of the standing or seated Avalokiteshvara. All the bodhisattvas are enveloped in gentle sunlight, and the long, slanting eyes that contain a faint tinge of sorrow create a sweetly sensual ambiance.
