These words from Laurence Binyon's poem For the fallen, known more commonly in Australia as the Ode of Remembrance, are written in the surface of the Second World War forecourt. The Forecourt was dedicated in 1954 and incorporates the flagpoles, Eternal Flame and Cenotaph. The Forecourt is in the shape of a non-denominational cross.
