Secret Grove

Two flowering branches hover over a turbulent landscape in this print from 1982. Yellow Japanese tissue was used in the printing collage process to draw attention to an element of the garden that emerges from a dreamy and atmospheric background. A stark blue slice of sky takes the viewer's eye up to the top of the picture plane -- creating another layer of mystery.
