A submarine cable is that copper or fiber optic installed on the seabed and intended for telecommunication services or the transmission of electricity. It communicating the UK and France through the English Channel, in 1852 the first submarine cable, telegraph service intended to spread. The discovery of plastic insulating enabled the construction of undersea cables for telephony, equipped with submerged repeaters amplifiers with power via the drivers themselves why the conversation was transmitted. Later, in the 60s, submarine cables formed by coaxial pairs, allowing a large number of analogue telephone channels were installed. Finally, undersea fiber optic cables have enabled the transmission of digital signals carrying voice, data, television, etc.
