The world famous porcelain manufactory in Herend was founded in 1839 by Mór Fischer, a potter from Tata. Seder plates with different images were produced by the manufactory in Herend. The enlarged photo focusing on the middle of a Seder plate painting shows a family celebrating the Seder. The reproduction of the picture was well-known in the Jewish community in the second half of the nineteenth century. The plate is an adaptation of the first illustrated printed editions of the Haggadah from Venice in 1609.
