Self Portrait

The triple self-portrait photograph provides the viewer with a glimpse into the artist’s studio, where he is posed in front of his two most famous self-portrait paintings, the Chrysler’s Slick, 1977, and Brilliantly Endowed (Self-Portrait), collection of the artist, also painted in 1977. The artist stands proudly in front of his two recently completed paintings, holding the shutter release behind his back. The artist wears a t-shirt referencing his secondary school, Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia, where he also taught classes. The artist’s signature and edition information appears on the label on the verso.
