Self-portrait with hat

It is an extraordinary self-portrait, one of a kind, because the painter advances with his head lowered, so the hat hides a large part of his face, which however is recognizable even if his eyes are downcast and his mustache drooping. The loose coat is just outlined with a few essential strokes and with particular attention to the row of circular buttons.
