Self-Portrait

British painter of landscape, still-life, and occasional religious subjects, born in Beijing, where his father was manager of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank. He moved to London to begin his career in painting, and his fascination with painting seascapes and other such odd beach sides led him all over the country.
