Photomontage of the 1859 Victorian cricket team, consisting of fourteen photographs which have been cut out and mounted together to form a group portrait. The group includes twelve cricketers, a scorer and an umpire. All but one of the cricketers are wearing whites with bow ties. The scorer has a dark suit and holds a book and pen, and the umpire wears a top hat and carries a bat under his left arm. The background includes a tree and areas of shading that have been drawn in pencil and watercolour paint.
