Serbia: James Johnston Abraham

James Johnston Abraham, a naval surgeon, who acted as major in the Serbian Army Medical Corp, 1914, diagnosing typhus among troops; he later saw service in the Middle East. His account of his War service was published as 'My Balkan Log'. The Library of Trinity College Dublin holds the original diary upon which it is based, and the original drafts of the work. This photograph depicts 'the staff from "My Balkan Log"'.
